Not just regarding Alchemy since there is no VST version.I'm just trying to get a very general idea.Įven if latency issues, and maybe others, meant that I couldn't run Alchemy and Mainstage - or Logic - at the same time as a DAW/VST set-up on a synced PC,which would be ideal,I 'd still be happy to run it alone.

There may also be a latency hit ,but I've no idea about this, and would really appreciate any advice possible. I know there would be a CPU hit,but have no idea how much.
ALCHEMY VST PC PC
Say I had both MAC and PC versions of a powerful synth plugin Could anyone give me an idea how much of a performance hit would be involved using VMware/High Sierra to run the MAC version on my PC, compared to running a Windows VST version ? Alchemy Player is Free and plays any Alchemy Sound Library or SFZ with an easy-to-use yet flexible interface.

I'm considering trying to run Mainstage 3 on a PC - using VMware - mainly to get access to Alchemy without having to buy a MAC. Alchemy Player is a free virtual instrument with 1GB sample library and 200 instrument sounds including evolving soundscapes, lush pads, and pulsing arpeggios. Now,I'd be very grateful for any advice you guys might be able to give. So,thanks for all the advice and tips I've picked up over the years, just searching for something, and finding good answers. I believe this is my first post here, although I've been visiting the forum,on and off,for many years.
